On December 7, 2024, third-year French major students from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Mahasarakham University—Ms. Nopphawan Sita, Ms. Nathalie Buasai, and Ms. Rungnapa Samakkamit—won first prize in the National French Writing and Storytelling Competition. The event, organized by the Association of French Teachers in Thailand under Royal Patronage, marked its 45th edition and was held at Assumption College, Bang Rak, Bangkok. It gathered participants from schools and universities across the country offering French language programs.
The students, coached by Mr. Jacques Pons, participated under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phanchit Duangchan and Mr. Teeprakon Uy-yong. They received their award from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, bringing pride to the French program and prestige to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Mahasarakham University.
