History of HUSOC

History

          On March 27^th, 1968, the School of Humanitarian Studies and Social Sciences, College of Education was established under the Department of Teacher Education, Ministry of Education. On June 29^th, 1974, the college was upgraded to Srinakharinwirot University, Maha Sarakham along with the Srinakharinwirot University Act 1974. The school offered 2 faculties: Faculty of Humanities and Faculty of Social Sciences. On December 9^th, 1994, the school became independent from Srinakharinwirot University, Prasanmitr, by the name of “Mahasarakham University”. Then, both Faculty of Humanities and Faculty of Social Sciences were merged as “Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences”. On June 22^nd, 1995, the government agency was established under the Royal Decree of Government Agency Establishment for Mahasarakham University, Ministry of University Affairs 1995.
