Master of Education Program in English Language Teaching
Significance of the Curriculum.
The Master of Education Program in Teaching English aims to align with the national education development plan, the institution’s educational philosophy, and national academic standards. It focuses on the development of educators, researchers, and professionals who have knowledge and expertise at an advanced level. Through research processes, students are prepared to develop both intellectual and moral excellence, along with creative abilities to keep pace with global changes. They are also expected to possess integrity, ethical standards, and professional ethics. The program objectives are as follows:
1. To align with the Ministry of Education’s standards for higher education curriculum guidelines, established in 2015.
2. To develop students with knowledge and understanding of creative processes and the application of new knowledge for social development.
3. To produce graduates in English teaching who are competent in both theory and practice within the field of English language instruction.
4. To foster students’ ability to conduct research in English language teaching.
5. To organize instructional activities that are relevant, enabling students to integrate knowledge from each subject for use in research.
6. To revise and update courses to align with current developments in information technology and education in the Thailand 4.0 era.
7. To increase the minimum number of credits for core subjects from 2 credits to 3 credits, thereby aligning with academic standards and ministry guidelines.
8. To develop qualified English teaching personnel who can apply their knowledge, skills, and research to their roles at a national level.
9. To produce graduates who possess moral values, ethics, and a sense of social responsibility.
10. To build graduates’ ability to apply their knowledge in language communication to solve problems efficiently and effectively in both academic and professional settings.
11. To prepare graduates to conduct research related to their fields of study and to analyze and address issues and challenges accurately.
